The king is back

Welcome back NFL, oh how we have missed you, us football fans and fantasy owners that is. After months of waiting the anticipation is finally over, the NFL season has arrived yet again for another season and as a result Sundays can commence in being exciting once again.
There is no denying that when it comes to sports in America it is the NFL that reigns supreme. No other sport has it's collective fan base eating out of the palm of their hands for yearning to watch
more of its sport in this country, than football currently does. Whether it is buying merchandise, watching the games, setting up your fantasy team, talking about the games to your colleagues at work, or children talking to friends at school about yesterday's game, it is pretty clear that when it comes to garnering buzz and generating attention football is king, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Let's face it for us who are fans of the sport football has us wrapped around it's finger and not necessarily cause we want it to be that way but more so because we need it to be that way. We need that special event, that must see attraction that captivates us in a week in week out basis and Football serves as just that. It is the continuation of something that we just can't get enough of, in the same way the latest movie in a trilogy is or the continuation of a book series from a popular author is as well, we desperately yearn to see it pick up right where it left off. Through that wait  the anticipation for yet another enthralling season is at it's peak, with fans clamoring to get to their TV sets to see just how it unfolds.
In the same way we yearn to see the latest talked about and exciting movie or the next great episode in a wildly popular TV series, The NFL has simply become can't miss television. We love the NFL but honestly how can we help but not to.  There is a variety of reasons to watch the NFL product  and why football captivates us so highly,  whether it's to see if a champion can defend their crowd, to find out which new team will rise from the ashes and perch themselves among the elite, to impressively take witness to which quarterback will take that next step as they continue to climb up the ranks among the elite of the sport or just whether you made the correct choices with your fantasy picks this season. There is a variety of reasons that the NFL has us glued to our TV screens and it's unfolding drama, and why we are way too invested to simply just not watch anymore.
We need the NFL just as much as the NFL needs us, we crave for it's exciting brand of action and its competitive battles and it craves our attention and money, It is a give and take relationship that goes both ways, a relationship between us and the sport that has made it the most popular one in America. We are compelled by the great athletes, the spectacular plays, the rising stars, our teams success, potential comebacks, and both the player and team improvements made from one year to the next. The NFl has left us under its spell and right now it is way too enticing for us to want to break it out of it. The truth however is that its hard to blame any of us for being fans in large part to the quality of the games, how the NFL perfectly orchastrates their exposure, and their buzz through commercials and a week long wait, that enables a fans interest to reach a crescendo by the time game time hits, all to wonderfully be fulfilled for a couple of glorious days of competitive football action, and to restart all over again the following week.
The strength of the sport is their great ability to leave us wanting more all while giving us a so much to take in and enjoy during each season. Unlike baseball and basketball which tend to give us more games than we would want or tends to drag on for way too long, football is the perfect length where it's not too short and not too long, all as it succeeds in captivating us with it's presentation, suspense, and fast paced competitive action.
Does The NFL have it's fair share of problems behind the scenes? yes it does and there is absolutely no denying that fact, that however is not why we watch, it the game's graceful visual beauty witnessed through its violence, the anticipation of it's continuing story being played out right before our eyes, the answering of our speculation for our teams potential success, and the fun filled ride we know it will take us on in the search of a crowned champion that has us mesmerized and hooked on its product and leaves us wanting more year in and year out. As yet another season has come it is these compelling components that will leave us transfixed on its continuing saga all while leaving us engaged in its visual drama right down to it's final conclusion.
